Task cards ask. FireFlash teaches, then asks.
Most digital task cards, including Boom Cards, are built around questions: a student answers, gets feedback, and moves to the next card. That works well for practice once a class already understands the idea.
FireFlash starts one step earlier. Each idea opens with a Learn card: a short, silent whiteboard animation that shows the science happening, such as water evaporating into invisible vapor or a magnet pulling steel through paper. Then Review questions give feedback and bring back the ideas a student missed, and Mastery questions show what each student can do on their own.
What you get with FireFlash
Ready-made science packs written for Grades 2–4, organized into series by grade. The Grade 3 Science in Motion series has 11 packs covering forces, magnets, weather, climate, life cycles, traits, fossils and animal groups.
No student accounts: students open a pack in the web browser from a link or QR code their teacher shares. No audio, so the cards work on a classroom screen or in a quiet room. A printable certificate when a student finishes.
Free packs open with no unlock code. Other packs are bought one at a time or as a series bundle from the K12 Movie Guides store, and each one is unlocked with its own code.
When a task-card platform may suit you better
FireFlash is a library of finished science packs; it is not a tool for building your own cards. If you want to make custom decks, or you need subjects FireFlash does not cover yet, a task-card platform may fit better. Many teachers use both: FireFlash to teach and practice a science topic, and task cards for other subjects.
Try it in five minutes
